When you have the meeting bot join a meeting, you can automatically save the meeting recording and Meeting history. In this case, if the meeting participant names match MiiTel user names, they are automatically linked to MiiTel users, which is useful for analyzing and aggregating recordings. To have the meeting bot join a meeting, you can either add it manually or use calendar integrations (Google Calendar ,Microsoft Outlook Calendar) to have it join the meeting.
Permissions or subscriptions required
You must have a MiiTel Meetings and meeting bot subscription to use this feature. If you are interested, please contact your account representative or Support for more information.
Other than regular Zoom video meetings (such as Zoom Webinars and Zoom Rooms), we do not support them.
We recommend matching meeting participant names with MiiTel user names. When they match, they are automatically linked to MiiTel users and can be used immediately for analysis and aggregation.
In the meeting host's Zoom user settings, the local recording must be enabled for the host and participants. To enable the recording, follow the steps below.
In Meeting link, enter the URL of the Zoom meeting in progress. (If the meeting has a password, enter the URL including everything after "pwd=")
Enter the meeting name in Meeting title.
Click ▶︎ Start recording.
Start the meeting and allow the meeting bot to join. (It may take several seconds for the meeting bot to request to join.)
When the meeting bot joins, the following message appears on the meeting host's screen. The following message also appears in the chat, prompting you to allow or deny recording. Recording starts when the meeting host clicks Allow recording. (If you click Decline, the meeting will not be recorded. If you decline by mistake, click the Zoom recording button to record the meeting. In this case, because the recording is not automatically uploaded to MiiTel Meetings/RecPod Analytics, follow the instructions in "Upload a recording file to MiiTel Analytics" to upload it.)
When you end the meeting, a history is created in Meeting history .
NOTE
To stop recording during the meeting, remove the meeting bot from the participants. For instructions on removing participants, see "How to manage participants in a Zoom meeting".
If 10 minutes pass after the meeting bot requests to join without you allowing the request, you can no longer allow it to join.
If you do not allow or deny recording after the meeting bot joins, the meeting bot leaves within 10 minutes.
