Record Zoom meetings with cloud recording

When you record a Zoom meeting with cloud recording, the recording is automatically saved to Meeting history.

  Permissions or subscriptions required

  • You need a MiiTel Meetings subscription. If you are interested, contact your CSM or reach out to Support.
  • You need a Zoom licensed user with permission to use cloud recording.
  • The user who will record with cloud recording must set up Zoom integration in advance.
  • Make sure you configure the settings described in “Configure Zoom cloud recording”.

  IMPORTANT

  •   If you want to check locally saved recordings in MiiTel Analytics, refer to “Upload recording files to MiiTel Analytics”.
  •   Only Zoom Meetings video conferences are supported.
  •   Recordings of Zoom Webinars can be uploaded to and played back in the Meeting history in MiiTel Analytics, but audio analytics and transcription are not available.
  •   If a Zoom user designated as an alternative host joins the meeting using the Zoom Alternative Host feature (Zoom Alternative Host feature), the actual Zoom username that joined the meeting is displayed as the host in Meeting history.

  1. Click Save.
  2. In the navigation menu on the left, click Recording.
  3. Click the Cloud recording tab.
  4. If your recording history is displayed or you see “No results match your search,” the setup is complete. If you see “Your IT administrator has disabled access to the recording page.”, check with your Zoom admin that you have access to cloud recording.

  IMPORTANT

  •   Enabling Settings > Recording tab > Automatic recording and selecting Record in the cloud helps prevent forgetting to select cloud recording.
  •   Meeting history created by uploading locally recorded MP4 files will not identify speakers, even if you configure this setting.
  •   For some reasons, the transcription result may not appear in Meeting history. For details, refer to “Transcription results do not appear in Meeting history”.

  IMPORTANT

  •   If you create breakout rooms during cloud recording, only the main room recording continues.
  •   When you finish cloud recording, a history item is automatically created in Meeting history.
  •   Conversations from users who changed their name during a meeting may not be analyzed.
  •   If the recording time exceeds 8 hours, it can be saved and played back in Meeting history, but transcription and audio analytics are not performed.
