Set up single sign-on (SSO) using OIDC with Google Workspace

If you are using Google Workspace, here are the steps for setting up single sign-on (SSO) using OAuth 2.0 client IDs.

  Permissions or subscriptions required

  • When using SSO, each user's username on Google Workspace must exactly match their MiiTel login ID.

Create an OAuth client ID in Google Cloud Settings

  1. Visit https://console.cloud.google.com/ and sign in.
  2. Click on bars-light.svg Navigation menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. Click on API and Services > Authentication Information.
  4. Click + Create credentials > OAuth Client ID.
  5. Set the following.

1 Application Type: Select a web application

2 Name: Enter any name

3 Approved redirect URI: Click + Add URI and enter https://auth.account.miitel.jp/oauth2/idpresponse in URI1

  1. Click Register.
  2. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.(You will need it later)

Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) in MiiTel Admin

Once you have completed this step, review the following information and register the required information in MiiTel Admin. For more information, check Creating and Managing Single Sign-On (SSO).

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

  IMPORTANT

  •   Once you have registered your authentication provider in MiiTel Admin, the Single Sign-On (SSO) login button will appear on the MiiTel login screen.
  •   It may take some time for the settings to be reflected. If single sign-on fails on the login screen immediately after setting up, please wait a little and try logging in again.
