Setting to display a specific URL for outgoing calls (pop-ups for outgoing calls)

You can set up an external web application to open when you place a call, either by clicking a button on the screen or automatically. If the web application's search results page uses a URL with a specific pattern, setting the phone number merge field also lets you search for customers whose registered phone number matches the number you're calling.

  Permissions or subscriptions required

  • Administrator privileges are required to configure this.

  NOTE

1. Go to "chrome://settings/content/all".

2. Under "miitel.jp", click > and under "<CompanyID>.miitel.jp", click
3. Set "Pop-ups and redirects" to Allow

Setup steps

  1. Go to MiiTel Admin.
  2. Click Call settings > MiiTel Phone settings.
  3. If you want the page you specify to open automatically when you place a call, select Open automatically when dialing. If you'd rather open the page manually by clicking a button on the MiiTel Phone screen, leave this unchecked.
  4. Enter the URL of the page you want to display when placing a call.
  5. If the URL you set in step 4 is a phone number search results page for the web application, replace the phone number portion of the URL with PHONE_NUMBER or PHONE_NUMBER_WITH_HYPHEN . (You can also make this replacement by clicking Phone number from the merge fields. For kintone and HubSpot setup examples, see the setup examples further down this page.)
  6. Click Save.

  IMPORTANT

  •   After configuring this, refresh or restart MiiTel Phone while you're logged in.
  •   After configuring this, if the page at the specified URL doesn't appear, your browser may be blocking pop-ups. If an icon like the one shown below appears at the right end of MiiTel Phone's address bar, click it and select "Always allow pop-ups and redirects".
  •   If you leave Open automatically when dialing unchecked, you can open the specified page by clicking Open new page on the MiiTel Phone screen when placing a call.
