By clearly informing meeting participants who is recording, you can make it easier to obtain their consent to be recorded.
This article explains how to change the meeting bot’s display name and set up automatic chat messages upon entry.
Change the meeting bot’s name
You can set the custom name of the meeting bot that records online meetings. We recommend setting a name that participants can easily recognize when the meeting bot requests to join the meeting.
If no bot name is set, it will be displayed as MiiTel Meetings.
- Go to MiiTel Admin.
- Click Meeting settings > Meeting Bot Settings.
- In Bot Name, enter the name you want to set.
- Click Save.
NOTE
- You can enter up to 64 characters.
- You cannot use symbols, special characters, or emojis.
-
When using calendar integration, the changes will take effect at one of the following times after you change the settings:
- After re-integrating the calendar
- After ending one online meeting created from the calendar while calendar integration is enabled
Display an image on the meeting bot tile
You can display an image on the meeting bot’s participant tile.
NOTE
- You cannot customize the image.
Send a message when the meeting bot joins a meeting
You can send a chat message when the meeting bot joins Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. This can be useful if you want to inform participants that they are being recorded.
