Group call is a function that allows another person to join an ongoing call and communicate simultaneously.
For example, if a customer asks a technical question during a phone meeting, a technical staff member can join the call and explain directly. This allows the necessary staff or stakeholders to respond during the call, making it useful for business meetings and support services.
Both MiiTel users and non-MiiTel users can join the call.
You can also invite other customers to the call during a business meeting.
If you want to give advice without the other party hearing it, please use Whispering.
To use this function ?
- MiiTel Phone usage permission is required.
- Monitoring usage permission is required.

Join a call as a third party (MiiTel users only)
A MiiTel user can join another user's call as a third party and communicate simultaneously.
IMPORTANT
- Only one user can join a call using this function.
- The speech of the user who joined as a third party will not be recorded or transcribed.
NOTE
- If 10 minutes pass after a user who joined the call later becomes the last remaining participant, a confirmation message will appear in MiiTel Phone or the browser asking whether the remaining participant wishes to continue. If no action is taken on the confirmation message within 60 seconds after it appears, the Group call will automatically end.
Switch from group call to monitoring or whispering
You can switch from group call to monitoring or whispering to support users without joining the conversation between the user and the customer.
- During a group call, click Group call on the MiiTel Phone screen.
- Click the function you want to use.
- When the function name in use switches, it will be displayed on the call screen.
Invite a third party to add to your call (non-MiiTel users allowed)
The user on the call can invite multiple people to add as third parties and communicate simultaneously.
You can invite both MiiTel users and non-MiiTel users.
NOTE
- The call will continue even if one of the participants ends the call.
- The audio after the group call starts will be registered as a call history with the call type "Transfer", separately from the call history before the start.
- In the call history before the group call starts, you can check the audio and transcript until one of the two people who were on the call first ends the call.
- In the call history after the group call starts, you can check the audio and transcript until the person added to the call later ends the call.
