After MiiTel integrates with Salesforce, MiiTel will integrate with the Salesforce record (that matches the phone number you've made or received phone calls by MiiTel Phone). With this, you can register or update Salesforce's records to MiiTel's Contacts or create an activity history of MiiTel's calls on Salesforce.
For Step 1, you will be setting the integration of MiiTel and Salesforce, so that you can retrieve your contacts from Salesforce.

How to integrate
IMPORTANT
- MiiTel will verify with the Salesforce user that will be used for this integration. For the details of required access for Salesforce users, please check Required access for Salesforce users that will be integrated.
- For the verification, you'll need to register at least one record in Salesforce's Contact, Account, or Lead. If no records are registered, MiiTel will not be able to verify, and an error will occur for the settings.
- After integrating from MiiTel Admin, you are required to install the Connected App on Salesforce.

After changing the settings, please reload MiiTel Phone using the following methods.
Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + R at the same time
Windows: Press Command + R at the same time
- Access MiiTel Admin.
- Click Third Party Integration > Salesforce > Basic settings tab
- Click Integrate.
- You will log in to Salesforce as a Salesforce user (if you have already logged in to Salesforce, the message "Do you want to allow access?" will be displayed. After you check the account details, click Allow.)
- If the integration is succeeded, the integrated Salesforce organization and users will be displayed.

In your connected Salesforce organization, install [Connected Apps] > [MiiTel].
- Log in to Salesforce as a Salesforce user with the System Administrator profile.
- In the top right corner of Salesforce, click [Settings] > [Settings].
- Search for "Connected Apps OAuth Usage" in the search box at the top left of the settings screen, and click "Connected Apps OAuth Usage" from the search result.
- In the "Actions" of the Connected App "MiiTel," click "Install" to install it. (If "Uninstall" is displayed, it is already installed and no action is required.)
Retrieve the contact information from Salesforce
After MiiTel integrates with Salesforce, you can register or update the Salesforce record (that matches the phone number you've made or received phone calls by MiiTel Phone) to our support.
NOTE
- For more details about this integration, please check Structure of Salesforce integration.
If you don't want to integrate Salesforce's contact information with MiiTel's contacts, please change the settings.
- Visit https://account.miitel.jp/v1/signin and log in to MiiTel Analytics.
- Click
Open MiiTel Admin on the top right of the page.
- Click Third Party Integration > Salesforce > Basic settings tab
- Check Turn off retrieving Salesforce contact information.
- Click Save.
How to remove the integration
- Click Remove integration.
- Confirm the displayed content and click Remove integration to remove the integration between MiiTel and Salesforce.
NOTE
- The current settings and integration status (enabled/disabled) for Activity history integration, Video history integration , and Activity history assignee are automatically saved as backup data.
- When re-integrating, you can restore the settings and integration status from this backup data.
- If you have previous backups, they will be overwritten.
Restore to the integration state after removal
It restores the following settings and integration status (enabled/disabled) that were automatically saved when you remove the integration.
If you remove the integration, the settings and integration status will be cleared. However, if you re-integrate, you can use this feature to restore them.

IMPORTANT
Process details:
Activity history integration / Video history integration
- If it was enabled at the time of backup, the settings at the time of backup will be applied and it will be integrated.
Activity History Assignee
- The settings at the time of backup will be applied and it will be integrated.
Notes:
- The current settings and integration status will be completely overwritten with the state at the time of backup.
- Integrations that were disabled at the time of backup will be restored to the disabled state. ((For Activity history integration > the ToDo object, and the settings for Video history integration, the settings will be reset to the initial state.)
- The “Retrieving contacts information” setting will not be restored.
Re-integrate
Remove the integration and then re-integrate.

Options: Email notifications for errors on MiiTel-integrated third-party services
When an error occurs in Salesforce integration or other MiiTel-integrated third-party services, you can receive a notification email whenever an error occurs.
