This page details about how to set a new password, especially in cases when a user on your team forgets his or her password. Also, this page provides instructions on how to unlock the account. This is the case when the user cannot log in to MiiTel Phone after attempting to log in to the user after multiple attempts (due to entering the wrong password).

Change password
- Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
- Click User > User List.
- Click [ ] on the user you wish to change the password, then click Edit.
- Enter the new password in Password.
- Click Save located at the bottom of the screen (the old password will not be displayed, as shown in the image below).

The password must be at least 8 characters with a combination of numbers and the following symbols.
^ $ * . [ ] { } ( ) ? " ! @ # % & / \ , > < ' : ; | _ ~ ` = + - - You cannot use special characters for passwords.
- You can not create a password only with alphabets, or only with numbers.
- If the user themselves wants to change the password, they can change from Change your MiiTel login password.
Unlock accounts
If a user fails to log in to MiiTel Phone due to entering the wrong password after multiple attempts, they will see the error message: "Your account has been locked due to too many failed login attempts. Please contact your organization's administrator to unlock your account." Administrators (Users with administrator privileges) can remove the password lock for this user's account by following steps.
- Log in to MiiTel Admin with administrator privileges.
- Click User > User List.
- Click [ ] on the user you wish to unlock the account, then click Unlock.
- On the confirmation screen, click Unlock.
